I just sneezed on my keyboard, spraying liquidised snot all over it. Does this mean my pc is infected and if so, what do i need to do to clean it up. :bomb:
Right I see, the only other question is I only went to one site, that was NECO and it is saved into my favourites. Or could have it been lying dormant for a while waiting to strike ?any website name that you type into your browser has the chance of being compromised. To safe guard against this trust certificates are used (also known as digital signature) the biggest issuer of these certificates is a company called VERITAS, they also own SYMANTEC. They have been compromised by hackers/crackers and have been trying to cover it up as the last certificate issueing company that was hacked was added to microsofts untrusted list and as a result liquidated. It takes 5 minutes to instal a software string that will spoof an internet address and redirect it, no websites are safe this can be done to https sites including bank accounts. NO antivirus/spyware or malware removal software can prevent it.
one site that you know of, you wont see any difference if you get spoofed, without knowing what the attack you suffered from is called cant tell if it was a sleeper or notRight I see, the only other question is I only went to one site, that was NECO and it is saved into my favourites. TBH, I did not wait around when it all happened. I just shut down my external HDD, then turned off my PC, got my Windows disc and formatted it and reinstalled it all. What ever happened, it took under 5 mins for the whole lot to go missing. I had no options left, no icons on desktop, nothing in start menu, no CTRL / ALT / DEL option. I just wanted to make anyone else aware of it as I know other go onto the NECO site and view pictures over there. It might not have come from there but all I can tell you is it was the only site I went to when I booted my computer up that morning.one site that you know of, you wont see any difference if you get spoofed, without knowing what the attack you suffered from is called cant tell if it was a sleeper or not
I think you are right, it only happened when I clicked the picture. All I know is I will never be doing that again over there. Is it possible that you got it through NECO's website rather than from them, as when you looked at pictures they are hosted by another site and it may be that site that has been hacked and the hacker's would create more havoc from a hosting site for the photo's etc, which would mean that if directed from other sites to the same hosting site you could get caught again, was it photobucket or another known one
just a thought
