What colour re-spray would you choose?

Trends are just that - trends. You need to think very carefully about matt colours before going that route. Their durability is highly questionable.

Besides, what kind of weak minded wally wants to be led by a trend? Make your own bl**dy mind up and sod what the Min Power lot are doing to their chavved up Corsa VXRs.

Couldn't agree more, I've never seen another pinky/lilacy/bluey/silver cougar

I've never seen another Matt blue Cougar in multiple shades with a bright blue skidmark up each side (in matt finish too) either. A shame I had it resprayed in boring old blurple

What about 'Candy Apple Yellow' - like on this Mustang:

I absolutely love what Saleen did with the later Pony cars, and I still love their work today.

I don't think you could drive that particular car in your picture on the UK's roads without seeing a lot of hand gestures, but just think what they could've done with the Cougar S as a starting point...
