What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Checked fluids, checked for leaks - garage floor was clean, reconnected battery, put into neutral, started on fist turn of the key, pulled out of garage, checked lights, topped up the tyres, took her out for the first time in 2 months. Grinned and parked back in garage.
I'm back home!

Yeah and for the money at the moment magnatec is fairly cheap 5L at £31, :)

How much?! I'm spoiled by Costco. Two 4L bottles of Magnatec is less than that.

Maybe that's something I (or rather Tracey, since she's the Costco member) can help with for people near to us.

Really great to see you back, mate.

I doubt it has been stood long enough for that, now mine that hasn't moved for almost 2 years will be needing a full service (y) when I can get round to working on my cougar :(

Well I kind of agree, but remember that this car has been run up to keep it from rotting. So you get partially-burned hydrocarbons, water from condensation, and the catalyst (heat from being run up to temp) all sitting in the engine.

H2SO4

Sulphuric acid. Honestly, I would suck down the cost and just do an oil change. I did the same with Tiger and, if that makes me paranoid? So be it, but it was an insurance policy. I don't cheat on my motors.

As for yours, I would love to be there and assist you when you're ready to hit the road. I have a lot of personal investment in that harlequin of a car and I think it'll be magnificent.

im amazed the amount of cougars that come to Walsall for MIJ and i have only even seen 1! But to be honest they have done a cracking job with mine, i just need to go back for the sports cat

Did hear there quality had dropped but so far I am very happy, stainless manifolds then a sports cat next.

We did a deal with MIJ in Walsall a number of years back. Can't remember how many of us had exhausts fitted, but we were there for the full day. If I remember correctly we had about 20 cougs turn up (not all having exhausts fitted though). I have a full cat back with sports cat and mid pipe removed, with quad pipes out of the rear...she roars lol!! The only issue I have had is their rubber exhaust hangers. I have had 2 lots so far, and they have gone too, so slowly replacing with poly ones. The others I have had to wrap wire around to keep them on the exhaust mounts.

Tidied up the interior.
Vacuumed carpets, mats and seats.
Pulled the radio out, to hide a 2x12v socket adapter in the space behind the lighter socket, and hid the power cables for the dashcam and satnav.
The satnav cable runs over the driver's footwell and behind the rubber seal near the door hinge, up to the driver's RH vent where the satnav is suction-mounted on the screen.
The dashcam cable runs across behind the glovebox, up the trim from the bonnet-release to the A-pillar trim, then behind the A-pillar trim and above the roof-lining to where the cam is suction-mounted left of the rearview mirror.
Top Tip: a plastic number 6.00 crochet hook is the ideal tool to create a gap between the A-pillar trim and windscreen, simultaneously pushing the cable behind. A swift two-second movement and job done.
