What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Thanks. I wanted a subtle drop that won't impact driving in the snow much but enough to still be a little noticeable. The WW kit makes it look lower too

I used to have a car with a DTM kit that couldn't be driven in more than an inch of snow. The splitter would push it up to the lower grille and pack it full and the car would - hilariously - overheat.

Anyway, I gave Tiger a bath today, and re-engineered the bodge I put in to get the ATX cruise control cable working on my MTX throttle body. Fully sorted, I'm not going to even bother looking for an MTX cable anymore.

Well finally managed to get the exhaust done iast night went out to try it today , very quiet but one of the new exhaust rubbers had snapped so it had dropped down so back under and replaced it with another new rubber(luckily i ordered extra)
I also sorted the GTO light covers that i bought off Mofo, these never sat right for me the fixings held them away about 1/2 inch and they were slightly too big so i trimmed them down and then edged them with some rubber and fixed directly to the light any way onto the picsrear covers 005.jpgrear covers 006.jpgrear covers 007.jpgrear covers 008.jpg

I'm not familiar with the DTM kit. Haven't seen it mentioned over here in the states. If push comes to shove for the winter I still have the original Springs and struts that I can swap back in

Thats what mine needs it looks like its on stilts, next year now start doing some bits and bobs to it

Just fitted some Nightbreaker unlimited bulbs this morning (between rain showers) to the dip beam some unknown 6500K to the hi-beams and some Nightbreaker H3 to the fog's can't see a lot of difference in the fogs beam pattern tbh,

But the hi's look much brighter, if the dips aren't any better when it dark i'm off to get some HID's me thinks

I spent an hr or so knocking up a rear strut brace. Ill send it to the powder coaters when i get a chance. Think i might go white with the interiour.

For a standard Ford part, those really are some handsomely chunky brakes. Picking up the disks was like holding a steering wheel.

[Mode: paranoid]Rich, keep an eye out for your fluid level over the next few days please. When we left it today it was somewhat-below-maximum.[/paranoid] See because I'd hate to think that the master cylinder developed a fault while we were bleeding it. Or the servo. Whatever. :p

But no, seriously - let me know if you're in any doubt about the braking and I'll be right there mate.

A friend of mine ended up in hospital with a fractured clavicle after her husband 'showed off' with that very setup on a base model mk3 Fiesta! They do have some quite serious stopping power!

Andy
