What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Disney innuendo to be fair.

Is the roof a complete CF replacement, or a skin? I'm curious as to how much structural rigidity you gained/lost.

its still got the factory skin under it. it's just got about 1/4 inch or so of epoxy resin and carbon fiber cloth on it as well. I'm sure it gained a little. that thin mild steel panel in my opinion isn't really doing much more then a wing or quarter panel does in the middle. most of the structural aspect of the roof is going to be in all the bracing thats lines the perimeter. I cut the skin off the roof of one of my cars and the car didnt move at all. when I cut the brace above the window the middle of the car dropped a little.
Bottom line. I didnt loose any. what I gained isnt enough to really matter, but in all fairness its just a pretty way to hold bog on my roof permenantly.

I think it's mostly the tension of the steel panel that helps the structure stand up to twisting forces - which is why the carbon roof had me wondering if it would also do the same job, but yours being an addition means it's a non-issue. Credit for doing actual CF, rather than a sticker! It does look lovely.

Changed the sun visors for ones from the scrapper, now got visor flaps that stay shut! Lol

and now if y'all perverts don't mind lol. I poked the resin with one of the stir sticks to see if my roof had completely gone off. Which it had. totally solid.

Now cook it, no more than 50 degrees for a good few hours, lower the temp the longer the time!!
I'm just praying it don't lift when it gets in the sun!!!!

Given it a big hug as some pedestrian decided to coss the road without looking making the car in front stop dead.and my silver frosty abs works gave her a big hug and a wash(the cougar) not the wife lol
