What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Do you mean the arm from the chassis that goes rearward to the bottom of the hub? I just checked mine and they look the same. I reckon it's just foreshortening in the picture that makes it look odd. Without that bend, it wouldn't get around the wheel.

I ment the one that goes into the subframe, although now I see its just the way the car was sitting in the air

Jump-started it as I didn't shut the boot properly when I parked up on Saturday.
And added a couple of stickers ready for CC. Al I'll be putting a graphics order in this weekend(y)

At last the rain stopped long enough to fit my new strut bar !!View attachment 10163

Mick you need to adjust that properly, you should have equal threaded portions both ends, start by screwing both all the way in, then with one end fitted to the car, hold the other eye end and rotate the bar til the other pin drops in, once you have both pins in, rotate the bar a little to put tension on it then lock both ends, you should just be able to remove the pin.

Thanks Tony, Mart sent me the bar with one nut missing! The missing nut has now be fitted and bar is centralised. 10/10 for observation though, like to keep you on your toes! lol

Quite a productive day. The chaps and I managed to source an interior local to us, so a deal was struck and we collected it yesterday. This afternoon saw us swapping them over.

All in all not too bad a job. Was able to give the carpet a good clean (bloody dog hairs!), swapped the borked rear speakers for some replacements and removed the sponges. Had a good look about down there and all seems okay for now, so that's good news.

Only slight hitch was the wiring, but we've managed to hook it all bar the heated seat elements. We'll have to revisit the loom (needs tidying up) before the trip so will look into patching those in then. I'll probably add a few more pics to my project thread.

Undersealed the ebony as its mot time soon and checked a repair i did to bottom of front wing with some chemical metal its still rock solid and as its a non structural area its doing no harm, its really good stuff.
