What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Cheers, I did do an edit at the bottom, I think it's this one.

That's the one I was thinking of. (y)

That's the one...
But that seems expensive... I brought a complete set of Samco for £70 not long ago!
But try asking Dan... he has just broke a Cougar so might not have sold it

If Dan can't help I think the one off the forum breaker is still there.

...I believe the hose in question is number 1 in the pic below, 1079358. About £140 if available!!
I don't suppose anyone has a spare? or knows of a more permanent way to repair it?

When I had my Classic back in er 1986, and before the restoration that never happened, I drove it to the annual Consul Classic and Capri club meet where it won worst in show, prize of a free NOS radiator bottom hose :devilish:

Put it into the garage to have the rear crankshaft oil seal replaced. Also having two drive shaft oil seals and driveshaft snap rings replaced. Rab reckons it will be between 150 and 200 quid.

Finally managed to get the drivers seat in.
Many thanks to Quicksilver for the bolts and Biffa for the how to. (y)
Can't believe how much more comfortable it is.

Well nothing achieved on mine yesterday, it was a bit too late to see the job through, but I was able to wrestle free the rear n/s caliper from my donor car. A bit of a scrub down and it appears be quite serviceable after all, so hoping to get it on mine after work one night. All being well and another MOT after bleeding them and I should be good to go, if not it'll be tight for Cosford.

After a quick dash home to make the most of the light, I was able to fit the replacement calliper. New pins and the stainless springy thing on top too (stop me if I'm getting technical here). Actually I'm particularly pleased I ordered these as the o/s calliper just didn’t have one at all.

Consequently the handbrake appears to be all good now; nice clicking, clearly biting too BUT it doesn't seem willing to release back as easily as one would expect? Granted this is new to me so I'm not sure if that's normal until wheels are in motion maybe?

Now I just need to get them bled and back in for an MOT. Can't do the bleeding until Sunday when my mate is going to use his vacuum thing, and I'm not back from Berlin until Tuesday evening so it'll be a bit of a juggling act and fingers crossed next week.
