What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Car back with new clutch, took it for a drive like a new car clutch is so light and biting point a lot lower, really pleased with it might even go for other drive tonight :)

I had the old issue of stalling under braking again over the last couple of days. I real pita when approaching T junctions and roundabouts, crawling to a stop blocking the junction cos the power steering stops working . Strange thing is, i just happened to have a spare IAT (idle air temperature control valve) in the cave , ten minutes to replace and as good as new again, safe driving. I tested the faulty one, which btw was "new" from ebay only about 18 months ago, and it seems the cheap plastic diaphragm has split. It moves on power up, but then immediately drops back.

Got some of my interior parts back from the hydro dippers ready to go in, just waiting on a couple of more bits to be completed, probably not to everyone's liking, but I like it.....(y) click on the pic to bring more pics up... had the interior roof/side panels and rear boot hatch parts done in carbon effect, along with the dashboard air blowers, and the ash tray and the main headlight switch panel done in the chequer plate design, the main dash facia is also being done in chequer plate design and also the HIVAC cover panel and the stereo surround....(y)

Think you're confusing bits here?

IAT is Intake Air Temperature - A very basic resistive thermometer that provides a marginal fuel trim.
ICV is Idle Control Valve - A stepper motor combined with a valve to bleed air around a closed throttle butterfly to provide the idle....

Unless it is one of those old weirdy Japanese style ones that use the coolant temperature for choke control, then I guess they could kind of be a combined unit. They were pretty swanky.

OFS is alive and well :D. You are indeed correct Andy, I got them muddled up. It is the ICV, commonly known as the idle control valve. (y)

Chucked out the old mats ready for the arrival of the new custom ones.
Sunday is wash day - they're not going into the car in the state its in atm.

Found a Sony CD player I'd forgotten I had so will attempt to fit that this weekend.

Very nice indeed. I may have to learn how to do this one day....I did say 'one day'...which I'll possibly never get around to lol!!! But it does look mighty impressive.

Had a hole welded up on my driver side sill not really a hole but the 3rd of the sill !!! And the inner sill somebody in past had tried to weld and not done a very good job plate that was there was falling off
