What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Took off each wheel in turn and cleaned it completely. As I was doing that, I tore down each wheel arch liner and cleaned and waxed behind it.

This took about 3 hours and earned me about 3lbs of mud. From two years' worth of driving, (I tore them down just after I bought it).

There's something oddly satisfying about cleaning the inside of your wheels

I agree. In my house, we call it, "going the full Morris".

No but seriously, your cleanup thread did inspire me and I do think it makes a difference overall. Sadly they've been left too long so are far from perfect. Not bad though.

On the plus side I got a good look at the belly and subframes, and the Bilthamber stuff is definitely doing the job. On the minus side, I seem to be losing my exhaust heat-shield. I did wonder why the transmission tunnel was starting to get a bit toasty!

I have some spare you can take home with you Chris, and a set of injectors to pass along to Steve (y) well today I managed to get the front and rear engine mounts off my old cougar sso just the top end to strip down after work tomorrow then start on the new car lol I have also finished building my in car computer tonight (y)

I'll take the injectors and leave the mud if that's okay with you!

Oh - and your inbox is full mate.

I have fitted a replacement lower engine mount, tightened up the front mount (which appears to be my problem) and temporarily bodge-fixed my hunting idle/power loss issue by fitting a better breather hose; will be replacing that with a silicon ASH jobbie mid-week and then replacing the full run of this very odd pipe when the donkey is out. :D

Not my cougar (as I don't have one...yet) but the fiesta
Tinted windows all round, polished tail pipe, new tax disc holder and a good wash (which goes against the whole rat look ethos)

Refitted the freshly painted rear bumper, god it does look good!!! lol will sort pics for those who havent seen, once its all scrubbed up of course :D

knackered the inserts on mine tony , ended up getting a mate to bond me some bolts in , then just tightened up with a nut and washer , should hopefully make it ok to remove when necessary :)

Gonna re bond them tomorrow, twill be just fine :)
