What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

You cheeky devil!! You're right though and most "super" cars are the same. Look at Clarkson, he struggles with most things he tests on TG. They're never dignified to get in and out of unless you're a skinny bean of average height.

Like me. Except I'm less skinny than I was.

944s do drive well - although typical RWD cars more modern than a Capri aren't tail happy. You can almost always provoke oversteer with power but most will have a slight understeer tendency under neutral power.

well at the weekend i completely removed my egr and blanked off the exhaust port. then moved my irmc to underneath the battery.
took the uim off and found nasty leaky gaskets everywhere, that explains my lean code....
put it all back together and went for a test run, difference was better low down power and smoother cruising....yay!

I've just purchased some Mondy/x-type front calipers and 3mm shims to do a 300mm conversion in the next few weeks, just need discs and pads and off we jolly well go :)

LOL!!! Apologies Kully. I'll never understand why they make sports cars so small inside, I remember having more space inside my old C reg Mini than what is in a Porker 944. However, I'll never own one, so it doesn't really matter lol!!!

Sick of my plastic wing mirrors looking like this ,

thought it needs a fix that doesn't involve buying plastic restoring crap , so off to halfords I went 300ml can of black matte and pound land for masking tape..
Boom...

Like new again (sort of Lol) better than they was that is for sure , just got to do passenger side now but god starting having a pee so got to wait...
What you reckon?

Lol well you know me I'm skinny too and only 6foot so shouldn't have a problem. I was quite amazed at the space in a classic mini too, mate's used to have them in the early 80's and they were all tall lanky guy's, used to have their knees by their ears almost lol

What pads are you going for? :)

Dunno Jamie, i haven't really decided yet tbh, between some Apec standard size 300mm at about £40-45 or some M-Tec drilled and grooved at about £75-90 in which case probably standard Apec pads or Greenstuff or something,

I've had Apec on a previous car so i know their decent, but don't really want to spend £150-200+ on Black Diamonds/Tarox or the like at the moment

Any recommendation or suggestions please,

I'm really liking the look of these currently M-Tec_black.jpg

Looks good mate, mine were a little like yours a couple of weeks ago, i bought some silicon grease off ebay and rubbed it into the mirror bases and black door rubber trim and window surrounds.....

Left it for a day or so and once the little fruit flies had lost interest being stuck to it i buffed it up with a soft cloth, it was black once again umm luverly.

I bought back for good plastic restorer a few weeks back and although the stuff is great and highly recommended and brought my window surround plastics and rubbers back to looking brand new ,whilst adding protection to them as it is semi permanent, I could only afford the gloss at the time(I should have got the matt finish also).
stupidly( as it was gloss finish not matt) i attempted to use the stuff on my wing mirror plastics also... Looked great when I first applied it but a day or two after didn't look right and after a wax/polish looked streaked and worst than before!
Thought, shall I buy another bottle of back for good matt ,and do wing mirrors ,or ,matt spray them black
sprayed them instead and actually(and thankfully!) Looks great! So jobs a good en!

It would have looked out of place ,as before hand my window surround plastics looked aged and rain speckled , but because I back to blacked them and they look as they should ,dark black ,then it was the wing mirrors that looked out of place , now with them sprayed , all gel's together and looks like it should!

Well today done a little diy repair on seat wear/rip

Before
After

Jobs a good en , on to gaiter.. What a ball ache putting the plastic clip back on...

All done brand new yay...

I've been driving around with black tape plastered all over the passenger mirror/door trying to find the source of horrible wind noise.

It hasn't helped :(

I have only tried the lower half so far (as that's where it sounds like). I'll be taping the whole thing on the way home, plus the entire gap at the front of the door.

I had thought it was the passenger mirror but it appears not.
Other theories include a flow over/around the scuttle. It's driving me potty to be honest.
