Fitted the removable rear strut brace I got from Jim. I also tried to fit what I bought as a MK 2 Mondeo rear wiper motor off eBay a while back only to find out the mounting holes spacing is different. Guess it ain't from a Mk 2.

Today i decided to tidy up the calipers, drums and fit the refurbed wheels so as to give me a week driving on them before the journey to Combe.
Started off with a good wire brushing and a clean with brake cleaner
Then a couple of coats of hammered black Hammerite
Then fitted the wheel
Did all four corners, now it needs a good wash but its a bit too hot for a wax so will do that nearer Combe next week

I've had the door cards open today and fitted two new 210W FLI Integrators.
I'll probably do the rear two if the speaker's are still at a discount from Halfrauds.
I would also like to take the headlight assemblies apart and get something done about my lack of parking light.

Mate, that is looking sweet. Will look forward to seeing it at Combe. The carbon fibre bits looks better than mine, but I'm still pleased with them. See you at Combe

Yesterday I finally fitted my ST200 airbox and Pipercross filter, aided by my 15-year old son.
Today I wire brushed the rusty patches under the sills (behind front wheel and in front of rear wheel both sides) and treated with Jenolite. Hope to primer tomorrow, intending to lacquer and wax . . .

Replaced a leaky A/C compressor complete with hoses. Bought a box of band aid plasters.
Aircon succesfully regassed and a coolwater bomb included. DG's cabin is not only nice and chilled when needed but also very freshhly scented
, not that it wasn't before. Oh and it only cost me £25
