Brilliant. I'm going to take that as a recommendation should I need any poly-bushes. No company can deliver perfect product, as much as they strive for 'five-nines reliability' and 'six-sigma process' and all that good stuff. No, the good companies are the one that acknowledge the fault and make it right. And in this case, may well get repeat and further business because of it.
Aaanyway, my wallet is £180 lighter as of this morning, due to needing two new front tyres. Tiger now has Yokohamas up front instead of the Avon ZV5s.

Working in finance IT up until a few years ago, it was something I heard referenced way too often. Mainly by people who wouldn't know an ISO certification if it brocked them up the side of their pointy-haired heads.

Yes, it's three Yokos and one Avon ZZ5 on the rear axle. If you can tell me what side the Avon is on, I'mma get a restraining order.

Honestly, I loved the Avons. They gripped nicely and were dependable in the wet, right to the end. The Yokos aren't much different - maybe a bit stickier - but are far quieter and seem to have have less roll.
Two things though: 1) My front shocks need replacing. 2) And since the Avons were fully worn, my recollection of what they were like two years ago might be wrong.
Remember that these are mid-range tyres for a mid-range car. The difference between them is going to be marginal.
So, having removed my HIDs and taken my Coug to be welded up & re-tested I now have a new MOT.
And I've now refitted my HIDs.
Slightly ridiculous that I have to make my headlights worse in order to pass the test - rules is rules I s'pose....

My car has passed every year ( 6 years ) with HID's fitted. I guess it is all down to the tester. Congrats on the pass.
I need to see how my MOT tester views HIDs
Well, according to the garage I used, if you don't have headlight washers and self-levellers they're a failure. This opinion was echoed by a friend of mine who is an MOT tester, so it seems I'll have to resign myself to removing them once a year from now on.
Allegedly you have to have washers, and the lights have to be self-levelling. Strictly speaking, you're not even supposed to install them in reflector-type housings; they're only supposed to be used in projector lenses.
All that said, if you Google for "HID laws" you'll get some very contradictory results. I don't think we ever quite got to the bottom of it here. Still, swapping them out for a couple hours once a year is pretty trivial, so...

Anyway, today I discovered that either my nearside rear droplink has gone, or the nearside rollbar mounting has. Nice little "clonk-badonk" when going over speedbumps.
The droplinks were fitted less than a year ago, (as some of you know!) so if it's them, I'm going to pitch a fit at Anschler. Good thing I keep my receipts...
