i made my own led bulb using high power white and amber leds and wired them into a double filament bulb base.
that double din looks well tidy.. like its factory fit. ive got to do something about mine as it sticks out too much.
Sounds complicated. I need to re-do mine (got a spare set of USA lights already). My reverse lights are an LED strip. They're nice and bright to look at but don't light up the road behind you. I need something brighter. How are yours in the dark?
My head unit sticks in a little but it hides the gap at the top. After a lot of dremelling, sawing and filing I actually fitted the proper cage so you can remove it with the supplied keys. Those nasty plastic adaptors don't allow you to remove the unit once it's in. I just used them as side filler panels after cutting them down.

these are the ones i use ,there the same as the ones they stuff in those super bright torches. they do all colours.

i made some pcb's to solder them to ,just 4 of these exceeds the brightness of a 21 watt bulb..
the only thing is you must get the power/current rate correct otherwise they burn out quickly..
i actually think the brake lights are too bright..might have to lower the power down to them a bit..seeing peoples faces glow red behind me had me a bit worried
Thanks to Chris(@Herak) original front fogs and matching switch fitted, security wheel nuts, cleaned replacement carpet.
cleaned wheels with alloy cleaner.
so far so good. The interior swap (carpet, front seats and console/armrest only) is penciled in for afternoons this week.

Put the Pippercross Decal Alan did for me on the air box, looks good, got a spare one in case it gets damaged when its in for service.

I'm not the only Chris here, but I'm going to assume he meant me.
fitted these today with new led bulbs.
also fixed my lights and clocks breakdown that stopped me going to combe today.
was all caused by a faulty battery
would intermittantly go open circuit causing the alty to spike the electrics...and leds being very sensitive to voltage spikes were the first things to fail..
new battery on and new lights and all good...now i just need to get my new speedhut inverter.

I looked at the spec and it appears that it will take ordinary video input. From the manual, can you tell whether it will accept (yellow) coaxial connection to a reversing camera? If so I am buying one right now.
