What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Gave her a quick wash.
While doing the wheels I foud the paint in several places is starting to flake, so with my self-inflicted kerbing damage I reckon they can do this season and then get a refurb.
 
Got the kit to refurb the headlights

started the prep for cold air kit with the help and advice from John :)

Finished (well nearly finished) the cold air intake - with alot of advice & patience from John :)

I think i may have missed a ground wire, she starts up for about 5seconds then cuts out again, unless anyone has an idea what i could have missed shes coming back apart tomorrow :(

Sorry Ricky did you attach the ground wires under the battery tray?

Also you've connected all breather pipes up to the induction kit?

There should be one by the wing and a couple on top or the side fixed by a large washer over them. Iirc

That sounds more like an air leak or a sensor (MAF) not correctly connected.
 
Pain in the ass, but my car still works after a change to a short shifter.

Gears feel nice & notchy, as opposed to having a big flimsy stick that sometimes refused to enter gear. Much happier with it like this!

Gaitor needs some attention, but it is 18 years old..

I actually had a bit of trouble adapting the knob to the stick. Ended up using an old engine pipe as an adapter! Worked a treat!

Olly, I've got one of each, C1 and C2 both without holes in the gaitor but both missing one of the four fixing tabs from the plastic surround.
The C1 one has a silver vinyl strip covering the front crossbar that mates up to the ashtray and lighter surround.
Let me know which one you'd prefer.
