What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Refitted that stupid bit of plastic pipe that is on the vacuum joint it popped out making the cat run lumpy and stall when in drive or reverse . Easy fix though pushed it back in and replaced the clip for a meaty jubilee one. all sorted now. Back to running like a champ

Tightened up my oil filter to cure the oil leak that had developed recently. Had a look at the throttle cable to determine if that was what is causing the fast idle that I had at the Christmas do, but, even with the cable disconnected, the car still idles really fast around 1500-2000 revs. Fuel consumption is well down from usual as well. Ah well, have to look for something else.

Sound like the same problem I had with my IACV. I replaced mine but problem still there. It has failed in the closed position so I've settled for leaving it disconnected electrically. Runs fine, if slightly harder to start and no tick over until she warms up a smidgeon.

Fuel consumption down?

If it's not the IACV, you've probably got an air leak downstream of the MAF. Get a code reader on it and see if she's running lean on both banks.

Drove DG to Burton on Trent to get this: :)

Ooh, that's a bit nice. My grandfather had a similar one in the old violin colour, which my Uncle Si now has.

I'm afraid my coug will look a little bland at Combe because she will have a couple of bits missing, i.e. the rear lense covers, no chrome around the windows and the front grill will be the original one it came with while I get the other bits done once the better weather gets here. Unfortunatley I will be working all the way through to Combe including this weekend....uggh!!

Oh almost forgot :stop: I had to re-stick one of my foglight covers yesterday. I noticed it was leaning away at the top edge. A run on the motorway i think would have lost it forever. Rare beasts these roush foglight covers

If I say Alan it would give the game away , I am hoping for a better day tomorrow now I have calmed down and if I can get the parts
