What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Been out and bought her a new angle grinder today from screwfix (cheers for the heads up shirtyzeus)

Also reached a lot of 4's o_O (wife took photo whilst I drove)

Hoping to see a whole row of 4's one day :D

Re: the mpg, been through Leeds centre and back today, a lot of stop-start, also it was sat idling on the ramp for an hour the other day for the mot. Guess I give her an easy life with the odd blast now and then when I need to hear that roar :devilish:

Well then you'd best get driving, or storing fuel in airtight bowsers for the next 45 years; electric cars are going to be the thing long before you get there. (maths based on your assumed car's age and your apparent 9.9K mile usage per year).

Aside from my club jaunts, I'm a perfect use-case for a Tesla 3. Honestly, that might be my next daily driver. But I'll keep Tiger, just as T has kept Jinxy.

It'll be our guilty pleasure. Keep it between all of us, okay? :)

Well, that's very impressive! I see those sort of figures when I go Wombling along the M1 or the A421. Certainly don't see them around town...

I've had low 40s on a run, driving like a granny though and hardly using the brakes. It soon drops significantly doing a lot of town driving.

Just fitted a grinding disc and plugged in the new grinder.
Im scared already, it's quite loud and a bit too manly for my liking.

How long does it take a grind a bolt off usually?

My car has a full 12 months MOT again as of today, washed and cleaned both my cars as well. Happy days !!!

Depends on the bolt, but for a drop-link? Maybe a minute or two.

Be confident - don't let it bounce around - but never force it. Guide the grinder's direction firmly, but let the tool do the work.

I think I once saw 38 on the motorway, but very rarely above 30.

She's certainly capable, these pics are after driving to Newcastle airport, then back at home.

That's with my Wife and 2 sons in the car (13 & 15yr) and boot full of luggage.
Running on that overpriced high octane fuel as well, dunno if that makes a difference.

Today i got the dremmel out to do a little job, but ended up sanding the hard skin off my feet instead :) must admit though it worked a treat (y)

All sorted and booked in for restest on Monday.
Always surprised how better it feels with new drop links fitted, think it's cured a slight wheel vibration I was getting around 50-60 too.

It actually does, though the increase in MPG is almost entirely offset by the higher cost.

Having said that, the better detergents in it are definitely worthwhile, unless the car has been seriously neglected in the past.

Tiger gets maybe 1 tank in 10 of the good stuff, usually before a longer run.
