What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Looks brilliant Rik, missed alot! Cant wait to see in person ;)

Have you thought about getting her Ceramic Coated? The shine would be immense if thats the shine with Wax ;)

Cheers Matt, I wasn't too sure what they normally go for but I've always wanted a twin exit exhaust and this came up locally.
Had to get it (y)

That's absurdly cheap, assuming that it's usable and isn't obnoxiously loud.

Another coat of wax on red and Carol cleaned green

Gratuitous pics ...... apologies for the bin!

Not to take anything away from Carol - that there is a tidy car - but Red is an absolute stunner.

Im really hoping it's not gonna be too loud! a deep rumble at idle and throaty at high revs will be good.
Don't want it excessively loud though where it annoys people

Used the perfect clarity on the c2 lights

Shiny!

All ready to play with the angle grinder tomorrow :devilish:

That's a helluva difference, great job.
Might have to invest in some of that, one of mine is filthy outside and inside.

Its a £20 well spent (y) still got loads left for future use too

I found it much easier than messing about with sandpaper/polish the laquer and gave better results too...although that may just be my lack of sanding and painting skills

The ones already on the car aren't too bad, I was referring to the c2 lights I got recently.
One is excellent, the other is minging, loads of spiders inside etc. I think even the chrome inside may be past saving. So it's either chrome spray (I don't know how good that is) or risk splitting the good one open and have both in black....

I should get away without lacquer as it's going to be in a sealed unit anyway,
just a question then if it will withstand the heat from the bulbs.

Fitted the C2 lights with the help of Mick :)

After loads of fettling with the first one we found the best way to fit it is to cut out the top lip on the headlight recess on the car, cut out the locating peg near the wing, then on the back cover of the C2 light cut off the top of it just above the seal so then the light will fit.

Also found a good point during the day to change the battery with the new one ive got which we wont talk about

They look great. So you didn't have to cut the bumper?
Any pics taken during the job?

Didnt take any pictures during but its pretty simple once we knew what we were doing.

Just cut the lip off in the headlight recess like it says in the how to on the forum(use an angle grinder not a dremel like the how to says or you will be there all week)next to the wing you will see a hole where the locating peg goes to, cut that out then on the c2 light cover trim the entire top of it corner to corner above the rubber seal and it will fit (y)
