What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Recently fitted, original blue oval has gone back on, and rear lip spoiler (cheers Andy)
Plus new richbrook handbrake cover and gear knob.
Mot due end of the month!

Tiger wears no Ford badges, so people don't get what she is unless they ask (or unless they remember the Cougar from back in the day).

Wildcat still has her bootlid badge, but that's going away. I've been in touch with my guys in Ft. Lauderdale and a proper Mercury badge is on its way.

I had one of those proper Mercury badges, but passed it onto someone at Combe last year, think it was Ricky. If I'd known then what I know now, then I would have hung onto it for you.

I appreciate that, but it's no big deal. Right place at the right time, yeah? It's not as though I had Wildcat then.

Anyway, there's a ship pulling out of Port Everglades that will eventually reach Southampton. And then that badge will make its way from the port northwards in some sort of van, and some time after that it will end up on Wildcat's bum.

At some point after that I'll need to decide whether I want to keep that Wings West upper grille or go for a USA-spec Mercury C1 version. That's probably going to be my first divergence away from your vision aside from your tailgate badges.

I've gone full circle regarding the badges.
On my first Cougar I fitted a US grille, and a Mercury badge on the boot.

On my current cougar it already had a mercury badge on the boot, but all the black started coming off one day whilst it was being washed, so I temporarily put a US Cougar special edition emblem on it, and now back to the standard Blue oval.

With time I've grown really tired of seeing boring vauxhall's /Audi etc
In a world of faceless euro boxes everywhere, I'm prouder than ever to be driving an old ford, and don't want to disguise it as anything else (y)
