Wheel offset

disks and pads all round and some gun gum on the exhaust...for a car thats been sat for that amount of time thats remarkable..

nothing difficult to fix here...just be carefull with the t40 bolts that hold the rear calipers on..they like to round off. smack them hard with a hammer b4 attempting to get em off..it helps to release them...oh and you'll need a piston retractor...a cheap tool from halfords..

and then when she's on the road take her for a good long drive to unstick everything..she'll be fine then.

I am on the road at last, first job is to clean all the mould off inside and out. The engine management light is on, person who did the mot checked it for me and it comes up as an emission fault, but it passed the mot ok. Will post a picture soon.
After seeing other members welding holes i will be doing a rust survey. The car has only done 62000 miles but i am sure there might be problems hiding.

Ive found the best thing to do with the rear discs is to take the pinch bolt off the shock absorber , knock the hub down and out of it then you can turn it towards you , get some stillsons on it to get the t50 bolts off and replace the bolts with the ones from the mondeo

Front discs and pads are no hassle

Yep, had to do the same. In fact, you're probably better off doing this to start with instead of trying to get your T50 at the right angle with the hub in place.

As for the advice about the Mondy bolts, that's spot-on. There's a time and a place for TORX bolts; at the back of the car and exposed to rain/snow/salt is not it.

Except those weird springs. I could never get the hang of them and getting them in the holes is always trial-and-error. If you have a technique to gettin them in that doesn't involve swearing, ducking and bleeding, I'd love to hear it.

I put them in both the top and bottom hole inline to the caliper then leverage them around with two screwdrivers (one on top one on the bottom) and it clicks into place

Getting both ends into both holes is usually the problem (as the bishop said to the actress) but I'll try that. Thank you.

Technique and experience gets them done in no time but better than that, Mk3 mondy calipers don't have them (y)
