Windows 10

Seems to be a fix HERE but i had to use the 2nd method.

You can right click to the left of the search bar and press properties - navigation - change to powershell then you can right click the start menu to open powershell as admin to do the fix

The 2nd method didnt work for me but when I did the workaround and used the first menthod it worked after restarting the laptop

Still haven't managed to get it on my laptop yet. Every time I've tried to install it, it fails and gives the rather unhelpful and ambiguous error message "Something happened". I've now resorted to 'flattening' the laptop back to factory settings to start afresh, meaning I've spent the last two evenings wading through hundreds of updates. I've got as far as installing Win 8.1 so I'm hoping to get back to the point of upgrading to Win 10 tonight. Why is nothing ever easy?

Finally...

I had a similar problem to yourself Rich when trying to download on my mainframe so I just left it and carried on with checking eMail, Facebook etc. When I went to close down there was a Win 10 download page in the background and it was almost finished, so, I just left it running and Hey Presto.
