the pipe on the Cougar does not fit the ST200 air box but found a pair of rubber gloves :eek6: cut the end's off fits a treat
The ST200 rubber bellows is just under a fiver from Fraud m8, a fiver well spent if your trying to be a puritan to the faith of the ST200 cult!
The bracket mod you've done looks much like the pic's I posted on this mod, looks good, good work!
After Lotty runs out of ST200 airboxes, peeps please give me a shout, as I have have a stock, all in original Fraud boxes and all include a new standard panelfilter.
The difference of this airbox from the standard v6 170ps unit, is simply the addition of the secondary air inlet pipe on the underside of the airbox. You may ask so what, what benefits would this give? 1st you will get an instant smile making induction roar when you put your foot down. Secondly you will likely get a little more horses from your v6 as the original airbox will restrict airflow, just check the area of the airbox outlet (easy calc pi x R [squared]) against the area of the inlet bellows (hard calc, but just compare by sight, what do you reckon?).
Once you've fitted this smile inducing mod, don't forget to reset your ECU to maximise the performance of you v6. This mod will give the induction roar you get with a cone filter, but I reckon you can 'forget' to inform your insurer, as afterall its a Fraud standard part, what insurance inpsector do you reckon would have the insight to spot the airbox is not off a standard 170ps motor? At 1st glance it looks factory fitted, especially if you've added the ST200 top airfeed bellows as well.
Cheers
