Back Again!

Hi gents!

Was on here ages ago with a green v6 with an emotional IMRC, lost touch when some donut decided to leave some go faster stripes down the side of the car!

Anyway after a few years of having some weird but wonderful cars I'm back to a cougar!

Just today deposited on a Silver v6 2000 plate with 60k genuine miles. Insanely solid under, like its been stored. Its fantastic all over but some wear on the drivers seat.

Anyway paid £1100 for it with Tax and MOT from a garage. Been to look at several v6s and they've all been rusted buckets underneath or done moon mileage.

Pics soon.. No multi story carparks for this one!

Not sure how much these are going for as a good example nowadays. Thought it was high but you get what you pay for I suppose!

I was from sunny South Normanton but now reside in Ilkeston! *Shiver* not far down the road though he he.

Oh will be on the look out for a cheap stainless (NOT loud, subtle) and never asked before but does the OEM spoiler just bolt on easily or is it a pain to fit? I guess a bodywork job?

PS glad forums still going! These cars are going to be a classic IMO, much nicer than those sheds they call a st24 ;)

Hello and welcome back, sounds like you've found yourself a good'un.
The OEM spoiler bolts straight on after drilling 4 holes in the tailgate. There are 4 black plugs on the inner side of the tailgate that will give access to the fixing nuts.

Sounds like a plan, I was being too picky I think trying to find a good one with a spoiler out there!

I remember also someone not too far from South Normanton // Mansfield way could remap to 180ish for the price of a crate of beer he he, know if that's the case still?

Here she is!

Not sure if they work or how they work! haha! I guess it auto beeps when you're close to something? does the sound system have to be on?

The car is pretty pristine though, the sills all look like the day it came out the factory, the mud flaps look brand new and the wheel arches all look new, looks like it's been in a barn or something!

Took two of the engine bay, damn phone didn't save it though! In photo 6 that dark patch is just my camera lens, you'll notice that dark patch all over the pictures, Samsung wanted 3 weeks to fix it with no temp phone so I told them to not bother :(

If it's an OEM system there should be a display with red and green lights inside the rear passenger corner of the roof or tailgate.
The lights will change colour as you get to within a foot or so of something and a buzzer should sound with increasing volume/urgency.
