Coug with a Subaru spoiler

checked on the inside for the fitment, and it appears to be something of a rubber gromit, suggesting its bonded? So i am out of luck on that front

i am going to fit it just to spite him!

To be fair, Procomm has a lot of detractors about his spoiler (incl me), but all the matters is that he likes it.

I like this spoiler. If its going to need to much fettling, then it will go on ebay.

I am going to try and get it flatter to the body (maybe today) and go from there, as quite rightly pointed out that could make a huge difference to the over all look.

I think the STI highrise spoiler would have looked better without a bodykit, in my opinion you would need a bodykit to blend that spoiler into the cougar.

I had an overall plan for what i wanted my cougar to look like from the outside and then bought the spoiler to meet with my design, aside from the colours my car is exactly how i planned it to look. Just remember Si, if you do use that spoiler and in future decide you can afford and want a bodykit that spoiler may not fit into the plan (y) Good luck with it though be interesting to see what it looks like fitted.

I am in no rush, which is a good thing. I am going to be as sure as i can be that A) it fits and B) I like it.

I take on board what Paul (Procomm) said. He has a plan for his coug in the long term (hats off to him), and while I do plan new wheels, and perhaps lowering the car, I don't anticipate a body kit...not that i don't like them, but moreover..the cost - i can't justify it.

I know where you're coming from Si, but I've chosen to do it in bits i.e. fitted the MSDesign splitter(o.k., not possible on a C2) 18 months ago, just got the Roush spoiler fitted, will get the skirts as and when they come up for the right money, and look good, and rear valance ditto.
The spoiler (be it the scooby or a different one) is the best place to start. I'm not sure it's going to be complimented by a body kit, as Subaru don't do a bodykit for the Cougar, so you need to decide whether the Scooby spoiler will look good in isolation.

no, it means I am going to travel to see an expert whom i trust implicitly and have a blumin good look at whether this is going to work or not

That would look better in my opinion (y)

i really don't Paul.

I can see where you are coming from, but i want a spoiler which does not rise too far from the boot.

Appreciate your efforts with that though :)
