Found the site by pure chance. I previously owned a Puma a couple years back as a second car and my main car was a Chrysler Neon R/T in red. I take awhile and enjoy surfing working out what I might want (I am open minded), went though A to Z on Auto Trader makes and got to F - Spotted a Cougar in the models section and went from there as it looked ideal. The more detail, 2.0 vs 2.5, got a comparison insurance quote and check some owner's comments, then trawled through the listings online and went to see a couple. Test rode, like the ride etc. Then a bit more detail, went so see a green one a fortnight ago and saw it was slightly different inside - Now realise there is a C1 and C2 era model (didn't know until I came on here yesterday).

I bought the green one, only wish I had stumbled across one years ago but the timing is right now. For me, that's the whole thing, giving yourself time to stumble on something that works out, great feeling when it slots into place. Same with this site, 24 hours in and back for more.

I did a Google search back when I first considered buying a Cougar. Happened across SCC and .net before I came here (the other two seemed very quiet). Once I bought the cat from the Bolton Mafia that was it for me, subscribed straight away and the rest is history - first Cougarfest and first time I've ever had a shiny exhaust fitted to a car (the exhaust the Cougar should have had in the first place) (y)

I dropped on the site while Googling for info when I decided I'd like to buy a Cougar. Subscribed shortly after buying a V plate Frosty so you're stuck with me for at least the next 11 months.

Cheers

brought my cougar because it was 2.5 ltrs and the insurance was cheaper than a rover 75 or vectra with same engine size for occasional towing...went to see the car which had been standing on this chaps drive for two months looking sad and lonely...put key in ignition and vroom she came alive and just sang to me...totaly totaly hooked, didnt even quible about the price, just had to get her home and polish the living daylights out of her....she just purrs and i keep going to the window and look at her and as for towing...sod it i,ll take the hit from the taxman and use the works van as a company vehicle and use that for towing...

as for finding this club, i did a search for cougar owners clubs on internet and up you popped got to say i cant wait to give her some mods... the last sporty car i had was a celica gt4 450 bhp with £3000 worth of engine mods unfortunatly i now have two kids, two horses and a scuba diving habit so as funds dictate at moment ...lol

I actually found you from the car stickers that are on the Cougar I bought. I wanted another as there is one on the side window (driver) one on the rear window and none !!! on the other side which looks odd....gues i best get my score to 10 !!!

its a standard Vreg 2.5V6 Manual. i wont to start collecting cougar bits to add on to my Cougar, any suggestions ?

Same as Bob, I bought the car on sight, then Googled it. And that's how I found you.

Um, probably should have done that the other way round. But here I am, and I have posted in the New Owners thread. Nice to meet you all.
