It took me 2 hours to fit it and quite alot of modding to make it click down on the catch. I have not fitted the bonnet pins yet but the main thing is it is on the car.
It is not a perfect fit as it seems to be quite high at the front edges but that is due to the over all shape of the bonnet. Not much I can do about it really.
So finally after 3 months of it sat in my spare room in the house it is all done.

Looks nice Pete, good work mate, It's a nice feeling when a long term plan comes together isn't it.... :)
Cheers Add, yes I have been waiting for a long while to get a chance to fit this and today was that very day I had my chance due to the weather being ok. I had done all the washer jet work a few weeks ago. So it was just a case of modding the bonnet catch and getting it to close which it now does.

Glad you finally got it sorted. Nice work Peter.
Cheers, I will need to sort out the bonnet pins but that can wait for now. I know others have fitted Carbon bonnets without them so I am sure I will be fine for now.
Just glad it is on the car now as it was getting very cold outside and I was begining to feel it towards the end. I don't deal with the cold very well being a Chef lol !!!

Looks fantastic Pete .... well worth the wait

Now were can i get my hands on one of those (y)

You've joined quite an exclusive club.

Looking good Peter, now you need some bonnet struts (y)

Jeez thats lookin superb!!

Nice work Peter, well done mate (y)

Thanks guys. I got there in the end. It took a while but it is finally on the car.

As for the struts, I do have a set of INXX ones in Stainless steel but I have no idea how they fix to the bonnet. The parts provided are just way to long to screw into the bonnet. So I am unsure if I want to go down this route at this time.

That looks well smart Peter.
SGS do stainless and zinc plated end fixings for struts that do away with the long screw fittings.
Stainless ones are here:

Cheers for that and the link. They would work on the bonnet but I am unsure about them as the bonnet carrys no real weight and pulling it shut might be quite hard. I know from having the SGS rear ones, my boot takes quite alot to pull it down now and there is no way the bonnet would hold up to that kind of strain.
