Well i waited, but now i'll post :). Honestly Peter, i'm not a great fan of the CF bonnets in general, but that chrome strip suits your car perfectly mate, Nice touch. (y)
Thanks for your input Alan, always valued by myself. Yes I can see what you are saying about the bonnet, not to everyones taste. The chrome strip took about 20 mins and alot of swearing as it is not easy to cut ( I put a new blade in my stanley knife as well for this job )
The corners were a pain to cut in but I think I done ok, it is not perfect but it will do.
Now for the Vortex Generators...................... That is going to split the crowd for sure as there have been quite a few who just do not like them.

I'm sure you'll get the bonnet "just right" for you. I know the strip can be a pain to cut, patience and care is the order of the day with that stuff and blades
Yes I will one day get it to fit how I imagined it should fit. And yes you are right about the strip, no point in rushing it but it was starting to hurt my hands doing it because it is quite cold down here in the land of the leeks & Sheep.

Fantastic Peter, that car really is a credit to you. It's not what I'd do myself, I'm much too much of shy retiring wallflower to drive around in anything so ostentatious, but it's clear to anyone how much time, effort, attention to detail and sheer creativity have gone into that car. That there are people like you, who have the courage to create and proudly display cars like this, is to the enrichment of everyone in the club. I guarantee that there'll be a large number of admiring and slightly jealous onlookers (and I place myself firmly in this category) wishing that they only had the bottle to do something like this themselves.

Thanks for that comment. It does mean alot to me. Yeah, I seem to have gone in a far out direction with my car. It never was planned like this but I do like what I have not got.
Just the spoiler to sort out then that will be it for this year I think. Running out of idea's now for it which is not a bad thing lol.

I like them on airplane's where they are functional (y)

TBH I don't see many people from this forum who fly planes each and everyday, so no one really knows what real difference they make as the only time you get the benefit is at very fast speeds. They are a style thing, nothing more. I have said that all along. ;)

Like, wheels? ;)

I've just seen the photo in your other post Peter. Great shots. (y)

Cheers Alan, I really need to get the timing right though with the daylight. I think it was just to dark, could have done with it being 10 mins earlier and using my other camera.
I will have another go sometime this week.

If he's into wife swapping he'll deffo need a key of some sort to throw in the pot.................................

.............or so I'm led to believe ;)

Is he still into wife swapping and dogging? (Sheila swapping and dingo-ing):):):)

He would be, but I think he's stuck with the current wife because she's knocked up now. He did want to get a dog but I think he's seen sense and decided to wait until the baby arrives and then reassess how good an idea a new dog to bark, jump up and down and need taken outside for a crap all the time they're trying to bring up a young'un is!

:)

Just catching up on last nights posts, I really should use my internal edit facility more often.

Might sound a daft question but what is the function of the bonnet catches?

Well they are Aerocatches. By all accounts, if you fit a carbon bonnet you should always use these due to it being so light and it could lift up off the normal bonnet latch and smash onto your windscreen.
I do plan to fit the pins as soon as I get a chance.
