It's on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It can be straightened, pete, we do it all the time with various stuff, blocks and weights in the right place and 5hrs in an oven at 80 centigrade ;-) as for the gas struts, bond and rivet a plate to the bonnet, then use rivnuts in the plate, just make sure the hole in the bonnet where the rivnut is, is larger than required in the plate ;-)

Cheers for the advice Tony but I think I will leave it as it is. I do not have ovens big enough to bake it lol !!!
It looks ok, just not 100% flush with the wings where the headlights are. There is a small rise on both sides of it but it does not look to stupid so I can live with it.

No i think you'll find the wrap looks like a crap copy of carbon lol, try straightening it in the summer Pete, block of wood under the front with some weights at the high point, it should get warm enough in direct sunlight
Hey, I liked my wrap thanks lol.
I will give this ago in the summer, I am not to bothered as it is not that bad but it does show a little bit. Maybe the heat from the engine bay and the fact it is now on the car might help it to settle. I think it is doing it because of the way it might have been stored over the years on its front edge, who knows but I am happy with it for now.

Well I could do with tracking down the owners because I do not have any keys for the aerocatches and Darren can not find the one he had with the bonnet. I have contacted aerocatch and they tell me that the latches would have come with 4 keys. So someone has still got some keys for them somewhere.

Paul had direct experience of spring and damper changes, V6 header replacement and clutch changes amongst other things. I know that, 'cos I was there with him :)

Peter, Paul lives in Australia now but we are in regular contact. Would you like me to put you in touch with each other?

I would like that but if he is in OZ then the chances of him having a key or knowing where one is for them is very slim. I might have to bite the bullet and buy new ones in the future. It does not bother me that I can not lock them as it is using the bonnet catch at this time and not the aerocatches.
