Jason Jones

I think anything that can be done to help the mods would be a good thing.

Jason, along with many others, do what they do - not for financial reward, but because they are a) bonkers and b) helping this club maintain its status as probably the best owner's club in the country.

I think its easy to forget that Jason and Co volunteer a not insignificant amount of time, and resource.

Lewy's offer is a kind one and if it helps preserve Cougarfest, for the foreseeable then we should do all we can to support what ever is decided.

I did discuss a scheme with Jason at cougarfest, but .. and I can understand his reluctance to go further with cougarfest .. it was vetoed, my proposal was that starting in september, attendees would pay £10 per month for 10 months, making a total of £100 per person, this would cover Hiring of equipment, Lability insurance (which seems to have been overlooked) and camping, the money surplus to what is needed could be spent on meat for the bbq, bread, beer etc, in the long run for £10 a month, saving forking out near to fest, when you need to spend on petrol. If someone wanted to join later on in the 10 months then their payment would be more depending when they joined in.
As Dick says the money would go into a seperate account, probably the post office as at the minute they are giving the best rates and all would be transparent, then when money is needed to pay for whatever account figures would be shown,

Doesn't Public liability insurance come as a block payment for all shows?

Yes butthe only thing we need it for is fest as we "host" it any other event we attend it is down to the show organisers to make a disclaimer or provide cover for the whole event.

Either way until a decision has been made if it is going ahead it's all academic.

I've decided.......................cougarfest 2012 is alive and kicking!:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Fairly sure to be a academic you need to go to uni so 10k ish?.

Seriously though I really am not going to be pressured into saying we will do it next year in the same format the dedication of you guys is something else and I have said something will happen next year but as to what format let's see.

My hands are programmed to write 'COUGARFEST' on cakes so I will need notice of 2 years to reprogramme them to write anything else, it'll cost a fortune too.

On a serious note, I'll see you at cougarfest 2012, or whatever it'll be called, if Matt has his way......Das Cougarfest!

No pressure mate.. think up to now the general concencus is purely one of trying to help, but at the end of the day you have the final say and we have to respect your decision.

Can we please get back on topic ..... and don`t mention the war ..
