Looks very smart and the gold/green theme works very well, how far can you go? gold decals? gold viper stripes? :ihih:

My lettering is from ebay so could be slightly diff style, and I was thinking of painting it black.

Yeah - and I think that I've also got the bug that you had on Sunday as I've been crashed out in bed all afternoon and got jack all done today:mad2::LOL:

Think that black on silver would look cool :p

:D

Just thinking (dangerous I know!!) - would smooth gold hammerite work on the exhaust??

:D

Gold caliper paint might be better mate, better heat resistance.(y)

Check your tailpipes Mrs :eek6: after a good run. Just grab hold and see if it burns :LOL:
Hammerite will stand the heat of calipers, so i'm sure it'll cope with the tailpipes. (y)

Aaaaarrrrggghh - feel like the whole week is slipping away from me already. Not well yesterday and nothing done. Today between being dad's taxi, housework and Drs not got a lot done so far.

Have, however, managed to squeeze in my new (been on the mods shelf for ages) cougar sill-plates.

Forgot to take a 'before' picture but I'm sure that most of you know what the OEM sill plates look like. Here is a pic of the old one next to the new one

Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, the drivers side sill plate decided to take some paint with it - fortunately the new one is a lot wider and will cover it

New plates installed (and yes I know that the interior needs a damn good vacuum and clean)

For anyone thinking of getting some of these in the current group buy - DO IT - there is absolutely no comparison quality wise - the new ones are much heavier and substantial and - as you can see - they actually wrap round the sills protecting the edges (y)

Update later :D

Im not usually a fan of gold on a car but it does suit your green cat. I like it.
Did you cover the areas the paint came away from with any kind of sealer to stop them rusting under the sill cover? Water will get trapped under the sill and cause rusting problems over time.

Cheers Paul. The priorty this week was wiring an amp in (pics soon (y)) and in all of the rushing around and being a bit naive in all things automobile, I never even thought to slap some sealant or rust trearment on - and I know what a water trap they can be after about 1/2 pint of water came out when I lifted the passanger side one off.

Too late now I suppose - will just have to keep fingers crossed

:D

Looking great there Ian, liking both the back end and also the sill plates - great job. I have some plans for the rear tailgate on mine, but will have to wait til later in the year.
