My Cougar

Has anyone got a photo o the interior roof with the headlining out. I am mainly interested in the back part of the roof

Been knocking up a loom for the footwell lights. Just waiting on some wide angle bulbs

Also bought a light out of a Mondeo which I am going to fit in the rear. I have had to dremmel a fair amount off. Flatten out the metal like access plate and reposition the metal connectors for where the wires attach to reduce the depth but will be worth it. Need so spray it black and will fit on the weekend. Also have a festoon LED bulb for it to match the front

It's all looking very good.
It's great to watch someone else that has the same ideas/taste as me !

Keep up the good work bud!

Oh, and as for interior light for the rear passengers, I have two small ones to go into the C pillars so whilst not the same, we are definatly still thinking along the same lines ! lol

Fitted the footwell lights with white wide angle LEDs and they make a huge difference. Going to be refitting my doorcards tonight with the LED behind the handles and the kerb light. I have been getting some funny looks when I have been letting people in my car lol so will be good to get the back reassembled. Will post some pics soon

Where did you fit the footwell lights mate?

I have a couple of interior lights that I was thinking of mounting on the left hand side (as you look down at the pedals), and on the right hand side if you look down into the passenger footwell.

Looking forward to the photos mate.

On the drivers side there is a place to put them. I used mondeo bulb holders and got LED bulbs. As for the passenger side I made a bracket out of perspex. Gives a very nice effect

What happened with those tail lights you "cut up"?? I was very intrigued by the pics but no mention of them!! I am very impressed with the level of detail you've put into your car ;)

Hello V6SINGH been a bit preoccupied with other things. You will soon find with me I start things and then other people need something doing like this weekend I was rendering a wall for a family friend etc. I am hopefully going to make a set of smooth rear lights. Whilst in university I worked for a rapid prototyping company that made alot of components mainly for BMW so picked up a few tricks. I will keep you posted as and when I make any progress. Thanks for your kind comments

PLEASE make them like the Aston Martin rear lights !!! PLEASE!!
That will save me having to do it because despite watching numerous How To videos on You Tube, I just haven't had the guts to have a go myself. Been wanting to do these since the days of Thundercat!

I might also PM you about an idea I have for the front fog lights that again will require a mould and some glass fibre work etc
I want to do it myself.....I just don't know if I have the skills to do it myself lol

Anyhow, rambling over.

What Aston Martin lights are you on about Shagmonkey. I can assure you I want smooth rear lights but progress with me is slow as I always have something to do lol. I am slowly starting to say no to people so I can get on with my car and my projects / hobbies.

I also have put two velcro straps to secure a windproof umbrella in the boot will put some photos up later

That actually would really suit the cougar especially seeing as that Aston has a Cougar S style lip on the boot. Gets thinking hat on lol
