My Cougar

Also if you are thinking of buying the perforated alcantara off the guy on ebay he really messes you around. I rang him before I ordered and he said it would be next day courier. It actually took 5 phone calls and about two weeks

Sounds like the same guy me and Alan have used.

Between the two if us, we sent him numerous emails asking him some questions and he didn't bother replying to a single one !!
Now normally I would I would thus go somewhere else and not use someone that can't even be bothered to respond, however he is the only seller that sold what we wanted so we had to give the rude git our business !!

Yes thats exact same situation I was in. The quality of the material is great so it is worth the wait but if you ring him its the only wait you will get the stuff through. Eventually I rang him about 4 o clock for about the fifth time very unhappy and next thing I know I had it next day. Best of luck with your and Ace's project

And I have a VERY busy week and weekend ahead of me !!!

Anyhow...Alan.....stop hijacking Davids thread you naughty boy!

I'll be starting one just for you over the weekend.....btw we will be trying to get 4 Cougars on my drive for the photo comp I have started....random post over !

Lol I don't mind. Best of luck for the weekend. Post pics once you have done. I guess great minds do think alike

Saw a nice looking silver glovebox handle on a ST24 / ST200 so decided to do the same to a spare cougar handle I had. Unfortunately I took the handle bit out and bluetaced it whilst spraying and it fell on the floor. So will have to redo but the effect is nice. I also had some spare heater knobs so am trying these in silver. With a couple of light coats the light can still shine through from the bulb

What would people think of something like this

untitled-3.jpg

Basically where I work has a laser cutter which is capable of cutting metal. So I was tempted to cut some like aluminium or something as handle covers to break up the black a bit. Peoples opinions/ideas would be appreciated

if you want to do something different try this one, using a feed from the interior light delay circuit wire up lights to the underside of the handles so when you use the remote locking to open the car at night it will illuminate the handles for you then go out after 12 secs or when you put the key in the ignition,i used to this to the inside of cars so they lit up when the lights were on,but not worth doing on the inside of the cougar and me been me havent got round to doing this mod yet

Hello Paul, I saw that somewhere on the site and it did tempt me. By the way your yellow calipers look spot on.

cheers awaiting my proper yellow ones to arrive to see how they look, the hardest part would be fixing a led into the handle reccess,i even managed to fit a remote window closure module albiet made one mistake but only took a minute to rectify

Right today I managed to retrim the underside of the parcel shelf as well as it was a bit rank. Also with thanks to shagmonkey in regard to what type of wire to use I have wired up a second boot light. I will post pics soon

Cheers zer0 I had a spare set. I am going to do the headlight control knob as well. Next mod after that is I got some nice looking courtesy lights from a mk4 Golf that I am going to fit

oh sounds nice, I want to see that :) you've done a great job so far, I love your wheels too :)

Cheers thats the next job give them a bit of treatment. I have a brake upgrade on my workshop desk as well painted up ready to go on. So always got plenty to do on the car. Going scrappy soon so going to do the footwell lighting mod as well. Thanks for your opinion
