Definitely good to know, i was aware of the clock change and subframe from the previous owner, to be honest i was looking to get rid of my second car (volvo v70 on its way out!) and was just looking for something a bit different - no complains so far but judging by the MOT history, might have a few bits to do come october! Not sure whether to swap this one for something else or keep it for the long run, it doesn’t sound half bad to be fair to it …Ah yes, I know of this car. An associate spent a few bob on it, new rear subframe, clocks change (check mot history) and a few other bits.
As mentioned on the Facebook page, there were no C2 press cars. At the time the model wasn't being marketed fully as such, and Ford offered them en-mass to employees as company cars/Management Roll Cars to get them shifted, so you'll find quite a few are Chelmsford/Brentwood registered anyway
Welcome and thanks for sharing... although unsure how you used my ISP![]()
not sure how i didn’t see this before, very useful thank you!Your's is a C2, or facelift version, which was introduced in September 2000.
The differences between the earlier and later versions can be found here:

Whats the difference between me and you? C1 or C2
Just for quick reference to you all in UkCougar.com land, I thought it might be a good idea if I laid down the differences between the C1 and C2 Basics Cougar 1 (C1) available from 1998 - 2001 (although late registered C1's still available up to 51plate in 2002) over 11000* sold in UK IIRC...www.ukcougar.club
