Well! it's been a while since the transplant, and one very minor issue has been bothering me ever since it was completed. The running in period, the crazy fuel consumption figures (46mpg at one point) the fun of the fair once i knew i could open her up . The massive rebirth of the GRIN
So, after all of that, today i managed to get that last little job done, the weaponR intake tube! yes, i finally resprayed it Panther Black to tie in with the rocker/cam cover, a cover which imo contains a couple of rather special cams, which in turn are bolted to a rather special cylinder head etc etc etc
I also cured a bit of the rust worm at the back edge of the bonnet lip, underside, tidied a few bits of wiring, and reset the weaponR air filter lower to the inner wing with a proper mount.

cat4's engine bay improvements are on my wishlist for the next 12 months....something in this ball park would be dandie.

It's been a quiet year regarding engine mods, but the final bit of this job should be sorted fairly soon. There will be piccys but you'll have to wait for them. I'll just say the "mod" is shiney but not bright and is very functional . I wanted to get this done early on in the engine rebuild but lack of funds took over so it had to wait a while.

Oh you tease.....can't be headers as you've had them done already. As you posted a wanted thread for the rocker cover, that's where my money lies. You going for a Manos style engine porn treatment?

The rocker cover is being done again (my old blue one if i can get it back from Tony) but that's not THE mod i'm referring to. That's just a job i want to get done in preperation.

Nice bling Al, but what are they? where do they sit in the engine bay? Is one the main pully and the other for water pump/aircon etc. ? You know what I'm like when it comes to mechanical's...aint gotta clue...lol
