self made angel eyes

Finally i got my angel/halo eyes instaled. Made them myself, cola can method. Now you judge how it looks:

you take a acrylic rod, use a heat gun and wrap it around cola can, making an even circle. then put some leds and there it is

Yes mine are cold cathode. I dont have any of them on during the day but if you just want a day shot then..

daytime off, looks almost the same as mine.
it would be really great if you capture a pic of yours when they on during daytime

don't know how in UK but when i was passing my MOT, i asked a guy who worked there and he said as long as they are white - everything is OK. BMW got it from factory...

Nice to see you got it done at last Shywaz, and looking good. If anybody was thinking of fitting A/E's i think i would go for this method, far less complex than our ccfl tubes and more robust, although i do prefer the ccfl effect.
A couple of daytime photo's of Phil Robbo's and my Cat's at Lincoln, it was peeing down.

BTW, as Shywaz has stated, these are 100% legal in Britain, providing they are white.

So far i see one difference between CCFL and cola can angel eyes.
CCFL are seen during daytime, mine only when it's dark.

if you get Cold cathode tubes from Wiltec in Germany paul about £40

Is it ok to replace your sidelights with these? So remove the bulb from the holder and wire the wires for the side lights to these rings?

Paul, mine run from the sidelight connections, i have no sidelight bulbs in at all. The rings are classed as sidelights at MOT time.
