Shagmonkey made me cry!!!

Well would you beleive it, but I don't do anything with cars. I work for IBM as a project manager.....and yes I hate it.....yes it's boring....the pay is ****....you get dumped on all day long by high level management promising you the world and then delivering sweet FA......but it's good job security (It's not like IBM are going to go bust overnight)......and I do get good benefits........plus it (just) pays the bills.

I would love to have a nice little lock up near Goodwood somewhere and detail classic/modern cars for a living, but this is never going to happen, but hey, we all need a dream.

This is something I've always dreamt of doing too Paul, as when I get the time and weather permitting I valet not only my own cars, but my neighbours, friends and work colleagues. Infact I have someone booked in for this month...when I'm home long enough and again..if this weather lets up.

This has been a great thread AL you should be proud of you coug now! i know how dirty she was at harewood lol!!, if it was mine id have it covered and only take it out if the roads were bone dry lol but thats jus me!! anyway cracking work paul you definetly derserve a beer or three mate!! :)

It looks like it did at Harewood from the outside now. The roadworks outside of Newark on the way home had laid cement dust over the road and it was raining. Nice combo :(
On the plus side. If I'm careful how I wash it I know it will look good again :)

In all seriousness, keep records of the concrete dust settling and if it damages your car. If it starts to damage your car and property, you are legally in a position to claim damages for Private and Public Nuisance from the roadworkers.

Right, back to the thread: Stunning Work Paul!

Paul you've done a stunning job with that ebony mate, absolutely stunning. If i had the readies you'd be welcome to play with my greenie Coug......... Start saving me thinks.

Alan you certainly have a car to be proud of mate (y)

Just threw Johns wheels on it for a look see.
Still going to satin black and pinstripe them but I'll need new calipers first. You can see them!!!! They are a tad corroded much!

Very nice Al, I wouldn't be tempted to refurb them with paint out of a spray can though:stop:. I got mine done professionally for around £40 per wheel & they even painted my calipers into the price.:) Paint out of spraycans tends to usually cause a reaction if you try to paint them again later, so better to save & get them done properly.(y)
