It's amazing how they bounce when you get it wrong. First accident i had with a hammer/screen collision, the hammer went 20 ft into the air
Good update mate. I only wondered about the costs if I decided to do something similar myself in the future (at the going rate i'll still have the car in another 4 or 5 years ) a company near me does that vinyl wrap stuff and I think its around the £2k mark for a full color change, I say around as the prices say "from" £X amount (then state in the small print something on the lines of, this is for a SMART CAR ) but you get the idea, you still have the original paint colour under the vinyl and the wrap protects the original paint and can also be removed at a later date etc. Quite fancied white myself (they do gloss/matt/carbon in white and many other colours too)
