Trying my best to own one :s

Sounds like a winner, im a bit stumped as to what to do now lol. you see i would go down and look at the other one but its an extra 90 minutes on from the hospital and it will be a wasted journey if im not buying it really. Do you know what the spec on Tony and Dave's one is?? i know they C2's are slightly different. i.e does it have leather seats, cd multi changer, basically the x pack equivalent.

now i cant make decisions very well :s lol

C2 is the facelift version of the cougar so it has a redisigned headlight and front bumper and a tweaked interior.

This one has heated screen cruise control 6 disc changer heated washer jets and wing mirrors

I would say mate keep looking around as we will have a much clearer picture on sat and be able to give a full and detailed update as well.

I was like you mate only looking for one colour but when I saw mine I just had to have it

Your about an hour from Tonys which is where the car is being stored and your more than welcome to pop over on sat and have a look if you want to just bear in mind it is not driveable yet due to an auto gearbox fault

ok mate, just a quick final question, does it have the leather interior or is that only on the C1 models? im guessing thats your C2 in the picture, looks awesome, well done.

Well wait and see what sat yeilds mate but you can have first refusal if you want to pop over on sat just let me or tony know and we can give you the address

I must clarify that this is an auto 2.5 v6 as you were looking at a manual mate

to be honest mate, thats something im not tooooooo fussed about if everything else is kl. do you think auto makes a massive difference then? i wanted a manual as i have always had them but what do you reckon honestly? and cheers mate on the first refusal appreciate it.

It's a personal thing mate my friend had a c1 auto he brought from me and tony and loved it to bits but his evil thankfully now ex made him sell it I have never owned an auto but when I drove his it was responsive and a doddle to drive.

All standard Cougars are never going to set record times but that's not why we buy them

There is a private road that tony lives on so when the old girl is running your more than welcome to have a test drive obviously due to lack of tax and insurance she can't go on the public road yet but being honest if I had not done so much to mine I would have kept this one and flogged mine

OK well..... im gonna hit the hay as i think i have got too excited about this! lol the whole auto manual thing is not a mega issue for me its the condition and spec im looking for and from what your saying thats all there so thats all good with me.

looking forward to that test drive and will give you a buzz tomorrow if thats ok to maybe, grab the address and possibly pop on over saturday to take a quick look :D

im Chris by the way

No worries chris even if you don't like the car it will be good to see another member if you drop me or tony (topcat) a pm we can give you the postcode and contact numbers

Hopefully see you on saturday mate

Best grab some sleep too as I have to be up in 5 hours oh well lol

Ok mate will give you a buzz later on today as am busy his morning but hopefully catch you at the weekend. If i cant make it on Sat then good luck and fingers crossed for the gearbox work.

Good luck with getting one you're happy with. Time is your greatest weapon in the search for a good Cougar. I waited weeks/months for the right one and got a black V6 with leather and 65k for £1,200...

My only advice is be sure an automatic won't bother you, I had that view at first and had to get rid after six months because I didn't like it.
