A very interesting read, with a great insight into experience of actually driving the cars. The Cougar doesn't feature but it's still highly entertaining

Being back on my old home patch for a few days enabled me to visit my favourite bookshop in Ledbury - some bargain WW1 titles,

This is getting to be a habit, can't turn them down at these prices!

I took two books on holiday last Septimber. The first was light and very amusing in places, I found some of her antics at University surprising, to say the least. It’s not a keeper, it’ll go back to a charity shop. From whence it came.



The second was far more heavy going, as expected. An amazing piece of research into a secret subject. It also adds to the history of the lies and deceit of the USSR then which alas is back.
I find less time to read at home so I’ve only recently finished it.

Road racing on a bike is a whole new scale of danger. I really think there needs to be a death wish to be the best in that game.
Back on books, Not long finished this. I don’t often go for the short story format but it’s all true stories and I‘d recommend it. An easy read.
Charity shop purchase as always. The sticker was not the charity shop price.

Having built a number of land speed record model cars I have also moved into building water speed record boats, I made Donald Campbell's Blue Bird from a vac form kit a while ago and have John Cobs Crusader to do soon , this book is light on pictures but does give a fascinating insight to the history of the WSR

One of my BMW club members gave me a couple of books the other night, an excellent addition to the collection!





As well as a box file bulging with 1990s magazine cuttings about performance cars from Car, Autocar, Fast Lane magazine etc etc
