What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Excellent. Good first step on the road to another year of Cougar shenanigans.(y)

Just rang Autoglass, they don't have the heated screen in stock:LOL: so the local branch will ring me and organise when they're going to do it. I didn't tell them the heated screen button and relay had only just been fitted;)

Was going to do a few other bits today but it's too bloody cold and wet. Maybe tomorrow.

Good man, Ricky - well done. I would've supported you however you approached this but, in a way, I'm quietly happy that you rescued MOE. You've got a lot of history together and I appreciate that's not easy to put behind you, whatever other issues she might have.

As for Tiger, I've done nothing to her recently, and she desparately needs a bath and her headlights polishing again. All we did together today is go to the chemist, the local One Stop, and the farm shop south of Bletchley to pick up two Christmas trees.

Which of course means that once again I will be finding pine needles in the boot and passenger footwell until March.

Well now you've got that silly SUV with no boot space...…….

Literally, the boot is the same size as the rear pax footwells. Tracey was like, "Can you take the [literal hundredweight of] potatoes? I'm not sure I'll have room with Susan and the kids in the car." and I went "Bruh - I've got a pair of 8-foot trees in my car. I can take a pack of Tic-Tacs maybe."

As a car it's quite capable, but as a proper CUV it's absolutely hopeless.

new clutch thanks to my friendly mechanic, took him a while bless him, old bolts and all. drives like a new car now.

This is in my near future, I think. She runs just fine but I think I've been near the rivets for a while now. No idea whether this is the original clutch or not, but I'm at 140,000.

I know that this might be disappointing given my usual attitude, (and this is not a beg for help) but I am seriously tempted to just give her to a garage. I guess it depends on whether it lets go in January or July!

How about Mr Clutch ? If they are truly specialist, maybe they are more efficient than a garage ?

( Is it me, or is she sticking her tongue out ? )

Yep they were fab and reasonably priced, although the courtesy car, a Chevrolet Spark was by far the worst vehicle I've ever driven, made Transit vans feel like sports cars in comparison, however that has nothing to do with their clutch changing skills!
