What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

It's one of these things;

No idea if that's the EGR vacuum reg or not

All this confusion about EGR etc, why don't you just ask LEGO-MAN? He seems to know

I get some sort of a "P" code still, ever since i fitted the Weapon R induction kit but that's expected and a known result, not an issue with the zetec. Oh and i also get a lean Bank#2

Personally I tend to lean on the slam panel but each to their own. LOL
OK,sorry, I'm off.

Ok so good news and bad news, Nerd has failed but only on incorrectly routed handbrake cable (completely my fault) and a faulty brake light switch meaning they are always on, not something I'd thought to check.

Easy fix in both cases assuming it's the switch under the brake pedal (the black one?).

Should be a easy retest. Any advisories?

Couple of brakes pipes getting corroded and front suspension arm bush worn but not excessive.
Nothing too major
All in all not too bad

Dropped it off at my mechanic's whilst I went across the road for parents' evening at my daughter's school.
Came back to find the old spark plugs (Motorcraft possibly originals) out and new ones in major result, and the engine oil dripping into the catch pot (well I arrived just before that when he was trying to find a spanner which would turn the burred sump plug!)
So, one mini-service completed just before 42400 miles.

What have I done to my Cougar today? Why probably nothing again. Second weekend running I've woken to find the weather has conspired to foil my plans, rain and even snow here. Bloody frustrating, I'm chomping at the bit to get the rear end removed and make a start. Bah!

Fully sympathise, want to get my boot painted but it keeps sodding raining [emoji22]

Checked out the sills on the Ebony C2 using an endoscope, totally agree with the 5 star rating, amazing value at £13.50.
I linked it via it's wifi to my phone and took a few pics. Generally pretty good condition just a few patches of rust.
Only 1 sponge remained, removed that and gave it a liberal spraying of Bilt Hamber.

Managed to get an hour on the car this afternoon before the weather got in the way. I was able to remove all the metal thingy-me-bobs from the rear n/s wheel hub; the bars connecting to the sub-frame and the one that goes parallel to the cill (trailing arm?) Some incredibly stubborn, rusted and generally knackered nuts and bolts to contend with which required one application of the grinder.

All nice and loose now bar the connection at the top, and just before the rain I had a look in the boot and must confess to being a bit baffled. There 'aint much space! I have removed the rubber cap and assume I now need an Allen key to somehow get in there.

I do indeed. I must have missed them, thanks for that. :)

You've also reminded me I need to order some more PlusGas too. I seem to be using a lot of it lately....
