It'll either be gloss black with red Ford logo on the centre caps (and possibly red rim ) or sparkle silver with red logo.
I'll trial a few things with the help of photoshop.
In the last few days Nerd has been insured, taxed, polished and driven 60 miles.
First time for a long time.
Whilst you're all here, the coolant light came on, topped it up and the light has stayed on?
Slightly overfilling can turn the light off. I had that problem with Tiger from the day that I owned her and the amount required to turn the light off was no more than 100ml over the "Max" line.
Could also be - as Dan says - that the float is stuck. Noel actually took Tiger's tank to dismantle and test, but I'm not sure how his research ended up.
When I first saw it (driving home for the first time) it scared the hell out of me. Remember I was generally used to Rovers with K-Series engines so the idea of low coolant caused a terrified lay-by skid to a halt and a careful wiggle of the tank to visually check the level.
Oil and filter change today. Tightened up that bumper stay bar too so hopefully that will have cured that rattle. Checked plugs as per Dan's suggestion and all nice and tight. Also a quick spray round with the Waxoyl on the power steering pipes and bottom of front wings. Sump was looking very oily so hopefully a new plug and washer will stop any leaks, I suspect the sump gasket isn't quite what it was, but I'll live with it for free rustproofing.
Off to the garage this afternoon, so the car will look a little different when I get back.
I'm no expert here, but the guidelines say that the sidelights must be visible from certain angles. You joke, but angel eyes are definitely better than the standard C1 lights. In fact the original Mako failed her MOT on standard bulbs; "Insufficient illumination."
I had to point out to the tester that the car was entirely standard before he would pass it, but he was adamant that she was in the wrong.
The sticky pads provided to mount things like that to dashboards are utterly useless, even cleaning things with alcohol wipes beforehand wouldn't make them stick. Good job I've got some Araldite
I think there's something about the texture of the dash that stops anything sticking to it. I installed some cable guides (for my dashcam) and they lasted maybe two days.
Not sure I'd take the Araldite route, but since I will never sell Wildcat, I might just do so for my own convenience.
