What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Good point there Dave, about being near the sea, I believe it did spend some time down on a coastal area previously... anyway it's all ready to be replaced with a fresh one, just one thing though, while I have it all stripped down like it currently is, what else could I look at doing while I have reasonable access to area's I may not have been able to get to with the subframe in place, any suggestions greatly appreciated.

stainless tank straps
renew ARB bushes/clamps
clean / rustproof filler pipe
check brake / fuel lines & scrub up

that'll keep you busy ;)

Had a play about with my bonnet scoop just to see what it looked black so bit of paint placed it on bonnet not sure yet, if I do go this route wing mirror with have to be change to black to.

dead right that man.
just to add though ,make sure the mating faces on the chassis are clear of rust and well sealed(hamerited) b4 refitting..this will prevent it rusting the new subframe etc..
also i replaced all the rubber bushes on my trailing arms etc this made a hell of a difference to the handling/stability...well worth it

black scoop is not for me personally, but that's just my opinion it's your car (y)

I'm not a fan of the scoop at all. If you are having it, IMO it would be best painted the same colour as the car unless it's CF.

Topped my oil up. Checked it yesterday it was just below minimum
Also touched in a scratch on my bumper where I nudged the front of the house whilst parking what a numpty I forgot how long the bonnet is (n)

General wash and fettle today, made all the more fun by the annoyance of my overworked colleagues - there's a 10 minute frequency bus route past my front door :)

To stop DG revving its proverbial nuts off at cold idle, i replaced the old IACV with a brand spanking shiney new one.

Out with the old complete with black sealant:

and in with the new, five minutes job:

Also refitted my weaponR filter kit. Tomorrow i'll refit the cold air intake to the front end (y)

Washed it, tomorrow it will be clayed and saturday it will get a dose of wax (seeing as its blackpool i will use the good stuff)
