Drove it more than 6 feet on the way back from an MOT fail - by god the noise under steam is good in the V6! As is it's ability to make me laugh! Lots to do, but it deserves it.
Sidelight out that was fine when I checked it before the MOT - they fail at some point, and it definitely doesn't work at the moment.
Droplinks front and rear.
Wishbone rear bolt loose (could have nipped it up, miserable bugger!)
Oh, and a spectacular amount of welding needed both sides under the a-pillar. Asked the tester if it was an isopon hide job until the warmer weather sets in, or really needed pulling apart "It's really fecked mate. Don't just cover it so I can't see it."
O/S TRE has excessive play - it's brand new, but have seen the results of people overtightening them and knackering them before the car even moves.
Stack of advisories - two for tyres being close to fecked, four for pitted brakes - they would be, it hasn't moved much.
Guess what I'm doing tomorrow morning...
Did manage to have a test run at overtaking for Combe, though - guy I was overtaking on our private runway started accelerating because he didn't want me to go past - I hate people that do that. That's when overtaking becomes dangerous - you weren't in the mood to go quickly, I am. Why are you now trying to race me? Oh, where did you go? Oh I see, you decided to hide in my rearview mirror instead!
So small that I almost missed him hiding there. 30-90 is such a giggle in this thing! Almost felt like the power I've been missing from the Capri.
