What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Today i drove it lol not such an exciting thing you may think, but since i bought the shed, it's saved me from racking up 9000 miles on Goblin up to now, but the side effect is that i rarely now drive Goblin, but it has given me chance to catch up on a few things that needed doing

today , finally got round to fitting a new fuel pump, only been off the road two years ! started first turn, well happy !

Great to hear from you, and glad your kitty is well!

Took Tiger to (what I now know are*) the Russians for a full valet. It kind of feels like cheating, but they do an amazing job.

* I'm learning the language. Hilarious to hear them saying, "LOL Is very big kitty, yes."

Hoovered out the cabin in preparation for my trip out tomorrow. Not much point in doing the outside with the roads as they are (especially as I'll be going cross-country!)

Fitted Pipercross panal filter which was simple even for me :), how ever there does not seem to be any info on the box as to how you clean it or what to use :(

After a couple of hours spent sweating and swearing this morning, my engine is now sporting IMRC unit number 3 and a clean(er) throttle valve.

I took this partway through, another one of those "why the hell did I start this job?" moments:

And I actually got it all back together again (quite pleased with myself on that one, it's always the part that worries me the most). The test drive definitely showed an improvement too, so happy days :)

I assumed dakota1112001 meant the box the filter came in LOL

Dakota, if you can get an ST200 airbox I highly recommend it. Mine has one with a pipercross filter and it sounds real nice (y)

Yes ST200 top end and air box would be nice

Lovely day so gave her a wash, wax, cleaned the inside and fitted some wheel decals and wing mirriors decals to, don`t think they will stay on very long but look nice at the moment..

my piper cross filter is foam and plastic so not sure if the cleaning is the same ?[/QUOTE said:
I had a pipercross filter and just washed it in warm soapy water and then rinsed out with clean water and then dried thoroughly.
If i am not mistaken pipercross are a dry filter and dont need oiling like the K & N as sometimes the oil can affect the MAF sensor
