What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

You learn something new every day (y)

As for polishing under there..... I'm not that much of an obsessive... yet. It might get a wipe-down with a damp cloth. :)

Cleaned her, and decided I was fed up with the state of the glass.

Used Megiuars Perfect Clarity inside and out and then used Angel Wax H[SUP]2[/SUP]0 on the outside. It's a ridiculously expensive coating that's a bit like Rain-X but sheds things like bird poop and dust and... well basically everything.

Tracey swears by it on Jinxy - so you know it must be good - but I'll let you know how I get on over the next week or so. It'll be interesting to see how the wipers cope since proprietary coatings usually fox them.

Had a knocking start recently from under the rear.
Had the chance at the weekend to investigate.
Thankfully neither the exhaust or suspension components seem at fault.
Have tightened as best I can the bolts holding the offending item, the rear towing eye bracket!

Fitted a fire extinguisher at long last, the rubber clip on the side of the boot came in very handy as i did not have to drill any holes and its mounted in a handy place.

I am trying to replace the drivers side front wheel bearings and I'm having a mare.
First I knackered the droplink then I snapped the thread on the tierod end after hours of struggling finally got it all apart and now I can't get the old bearing out because I don't have a socket big enough to fit it so I can smack it out

unless you've got that press fired up, i think you'll struggle Mike. Last one i attempted i managed to get the outer race/shell but the inner ring stayed on the hub shaft. I ended up taking the whole hub carrier etc to a local fitting shop for them to press the old one out by chasing the new one in after it. I havn't got my press rigged up yet but if you make it over one day to the MFSM i'm sure we could soon have it rigged and ready to go.

I am still waiting for the press, I got the inner one off the hub but can't get the outer one off. I was trying to do it so I can come to yours on Sat as the audi is still laid up and the wife needs her car as we have another grandchild imminent
