What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Earlier this week, had new (Ford) power steering pump fitted, old one had been "groaning" in use and when my mechanic drove to change cambelt previously he recommended changing the steering pump, sourced off the bay for £50.

Managed to sort out a few fiddly bits this morning, first was to put a bit of padding under my center consul that had been creaking since it was painted, next was refit the door rubbers which had moved forward and were letting in water, next my remote central locking was not working so stripped down drivers door and disconnected the lock, tried the central locking and the passenger one worked perfectly so i thought it must be the solenoid sticking.
I stripped the lock completely out and soaked it in silicone spray whilst manually working the lock (you would not believe the crap that came out of it ) after 10 mins connected back up and hey presto everything worked, put it all together again but then noticed that when locking my indicators were not flashing.
I decided to do the self diagnosis test of all the alarm switches using the bonnet switch, pressed it 7 times and tried all doors and bonnet and boot and remote fob - everything worked ok, it was then that i noticed a self tapping screw on the underside of the bonnet directly above the alarm switch. On checking the screw i noticed that when the bonnet was closed it wasn't pushing the switch down far enough- so new screw inserted with a slightly bigger head and the fault cleared straight away, now all doors double lock and indicators flash--- Result (y)
