Oh I've definitely needed help!, and I'm always on here asking inane questions which must annoy some people, I just wanna learn.

if your using a cutting disk(thin disk) normally about 40 seconds to CUT off a 17mm nut at the base.
if your using the grinding disk(thick disk) takes much longer but better at destroying the entire bolt/nut ,it also produces a lot more heat so be carefull..i very rarely use a grinding disk unless the bolt is awkward to get at...you cant twist a thin disk or they break..a thick disk wont and you can put more force on it.

Yeah sorted this the other day cheers.
Wasn't enough room to get a grinding disc on there so went out and bought a pack of cutting discs.
It's all done and ready for the retest tomorrow.

Today Claus has had a thorough bath / dry / wax, with the assistance of my wonderful wife thankfully as it was far too hot to do alone!

Also had the drivers door card off to sort out a very noisy squeeky window, sprayed grease on all the bits I could see.
Even put it on the window itself, raised it up and down a few times but its still just as loud!?

I should have said, the window actually shrieks!! Though it's not as slow now.
Gonna look further and spray everything there.
 
Today! following on from the oil seal saga which Tony (TopCat1127) was a massive help, steadily and very measured as my back is still very tender I tidied and reconnected the cables and multiplugs, did a bit of rust cure/prevent with the battery tray and re-fitted it to the car.Oh before i did that i refilled the gearbox with some nice shiney 75/90 oil (golden syrup) :). As DG is back on the ground rather than leaning into the engine bay which would have finished me off, i actually knelt down and leaned in over the slam panel.:cool: Most comfortab;e gearbox refill ever.
Reconnected lower steering column U/J and then put the battery back on, drove out the cave so i could give Vonny enough room to get in the car so she could press the clutch pedal while i opened the bleed nipple. Job Done i think.

sounds to me like it could be out of its guide/traack. Jeff, when you open up the insulation foam screen behind the door card, look downwards and towards the rear of the door. There is a guide where the glass runs and at the lower end there is a bolt holding that rail to the door frame. Make sure it's secure and watch the glass as it runs up and down. Does it stay in that groove?
