What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

...Repaired broken lugs on heater control unit, finally worked out where/what the bulbs were in it...also had to change bulb for digital clock...

I recall doing the same job on my VW Beetle...to do this job
on the Beetle one had to reach underneath the dashboard,
pull out the bulb holder from the back of the speedometer,
replace the bulb and then push the holder back in...

Modern cars...(sigh)...the attached image shows how much I
had to disassemble to get to the clocks - four more screws to
go and they're out, just so I can access the bulb I need to change...

The upside?

I now know more about how the interior goes together... :- )

Are there any long-life LED replacements for these ? I have a mate who runs an amusement arcade and all their 1,000s of bulbs are changing over to LED. Some of them look remarkably like car bulb fittings...

Wired straight to interior light so just on for a bit when doors open, reminds me of one of my favourite lap dancing clubs, sexy as ****

Exhaust now refitted after rear subby replacement. Actually had the engine running gently to warm the Gun Gum. One of the joints is blowing a little so need to sort a replacement gasket.
I also cut and prepped a patch for the sill. Galv steel, shaped and drilled ready for plug welding into place but didn't have the urge to weld it inside the garage after some petrol spillage ! It'll wait for a couple of weeks to make sure it's all evaporated.

I can't undo Tiger's offside locknut at the outer track-rod end. I tried, but nothing will move. I got her up in the air and went at it with gusto, but she fought me even though I soaked the joint in PlusGas.

Not sure what to do other than take her to a garage with ramps. You can imagine how much that infuriates me.
