What Have You Done to Your Cougar Today?

Seems a bit picky.

It is. Very.

The MOT guidelines demand that the high-level brake light should be largely red and visible, but it doesn't state a percentage and so it's left as a judgment call on the part of the tester.

To be honest, if someone failed my car on the HL brake light, I'd have to wonder whether they'd recently had a visit from VOSA and were being audited.

Well I charged the battery enough to get it started today. Not been started since November. Checked mileage as well. I have done 77 miles since last MOT ( June ) So when I go to Combe I will double it. Could be the very last time it is ever seen in public again I think.

Finally got around to fitting this, got it so the reverse camera comes on by itself when you select reverse gear too (y)

Just need to get some sort of felt tape to seal around the outside

But im pretty 'preased' with it

Started fitting my c2 bits today:

I've not been brave enough to attempt changing the steering wheel yet :). Also found that a previous owner has "trimmed" the hvac panel around the stereo hole (probably to fit a double din unit), so my headunit won't fit properly :( - got it gaffer taped in for the moment until I find a better solution, I'll probably end up spraying my c1 panel black and swapping in the c2 hvac controls.

I also haven't been able to figure out how to get the handbrake lever vertical so I can remove the centre console - I've read the how-tos, but I just can't get my head round it at all.

Pleased with the new look so far though

Looking good Mart.

Steering wheel isnt that bad as long as youve got a long t30 tool

Re the handbrake follow the how to but you need to press really hard on the pawl

I just couldn't see where exactly I'm supposed to push, got a torch in there but I couldn't figure it out.

Would you mind showing me how at Coombe next week?

Looking good Dan, i bought one but my lad pinched it and fitted it in his mx5!! like your Australian gear knob!
Haha Id forgotten its upside down  good job I know where the gears are

I think you may be onto something here. All this time we've been fiting C2 lights when we could have gone with ones from a Rover 200
