Nice one.

Serviced Goblin yesterday, realising that I'd only done 4k since the last one as i'd written it on the oil filter lol

Aside from the hit to your wallet, it's not as though you can service them too often.

Frankly given the miles Goblin does, that was almost certainly the right thing!

:EDIT: Al - are you saying you've finally fixed what kept you from Combe?

Today the Cat got a new cat. ( Coincidentally, my other cat, Peachie, got a new catflap too, but only because the pet store is just across the road from the exhaust place ). The old cat is in the passenger footwell and the innards of that might just 'fall out' ( with a little persuation ). Performance is good, but may be negatively impacted if I keep driving it like this due to loss of licence. My earlier post in 'Performance Issues' seems to have been answered - Yes, the brick in the cat can get jammed down the exhaust and cause loss of performance. True to form, this was my 3rd visit to get the cat replaced after 2 other units failed to fit. Not that I didn't warn them that this would happen. After the MOT, if emissions are good ( hopefully ) I might just swap them over again to do a comparison. I suppose I could still use ForScan to do a sort of comparison and look at peak airflow and fuel figures...

Yep - happened to T's Tomcat as well. Even worse is that the brick goes backward and blocks the pipe under acceleration - precisely the time you need the greatest airflow!

One of those things you dont realise how bad it is until you've fixed it!

So true. Like spark plugs.

As I'm gradually getting my c2 interior fitted, I thought this was gonna look a bit out of place (not to mention a bit worn):

The knob from the breaker that the rest of the bits came from was minging, so I bought this for a whopping £3 (it's apparently from a mk3 Mondeo):

Looks alright I think. Just the steering wheel and seats left to fit now...

Finally fitteda new rear bumper cover what a bugger of a job. Also found a flood in the boot so a job for tomorrow finding the leak !
